Toilet and Drain Clogs
If your toilet clogs...
Please attempt to resolve the toilet clog using a plunger. These are available from most hardware and big box stores.
For shower and sink clogs, you may be able to dislodge debris from the pipes using a cleaning tool. Many stores sell plastic cleaners you can thread down the pipe to snag anything stuck in the system.
You can also try chemical cleaners, but only use those that have been approved for plumbing use, as some corrosive products could damage the pipes.
If you lose electricity in your rental home, call your utility provider before getting in touch with us. The electric company can help you determine whether there are problems with your account or whether bad weather or temporary outages may be to blame for the issue.
No Hot Water
If you don't have hot water in your home, locate the heater and check the settings on the tank. Is everything accurate? If necessary, you may need to cycle the heater on and off to reset the system defaults.
If you make changes, wait 15 to 20 minutes before testing the water temperature again.
If your heat or air conditioning isn't working properly, the thermostats in your home should be carefully checked. Are all settings accurate? Can you cycle the system off and back on?
If you're unable to resolve the problem, please get in touch with us.
